I forgot all about Google's free 1-800 number a while ago because it was not available in Canada. Anyways I tried it out the other day and was quite impressed. Check out the video below for an idea of what it is:
First thing I tried to do was my find my own company. No dice. The reason, I wasn't signed up for Google Local. So I signed up but you need to verify your business location by phone, text, or mail. I tried all the other methods and they just weren't working for me. Finally decided to get them to send the postcard.
Next thing I did, I tried finding some of my clients on the system because I had already added them on Google Local. They showed up when the exact name was used. I opted to get the details text'd to me and it gave me the Google Map directions.
Just a neet little tool. Might not be the ultimate way of getting more business but it's a nice feature to have not to mentoin save you some money.
