You may or may not have noticed that Top Search Result is now sporting a new logo showcasing our PPC skills.

What does this mean.  To become a Qualified Individual in the Google Advertising Professionals program, you'll need to accomplish the following:

   1. Build and maintain at least US$1,000 (or your local currency equivalent) total spend for your or your team's My Client Center account during the 90-day period.
   2. Pass the Google Advertising Professional Exam.

According to whoisAGAP there are only 27 individuals in Canada with the certification and 9 companies (Google qualified companies).  This list is not 100% accurate as I am unable to find some people listed that I know have their certification. 

Lack Of PPC Standards

As you may or may not know there is not a lot of formal education available for individuals in the online marketing industry especially when it comes to search engine marketing.  The Google certification is a great start but it would be nice to have various other degrees/certification etc. available to protect consumers from search marketing companies who are misleading people to make a quick buck.
