Google Used As Bookmark
dawsonrb — December 10, 2008 - 10:29am
Another interesting article from the Globe and Mail about how Canadians use Google to "search" for sites when they already know the website address. Sites such as Facebook etc. where people would know the address they simply go to Google and type in the site name, where Google often suggests what you are looking for.
It seems that the ability for Google to anticipate what searcher are looking for has made it somewhat of a bookmarking platform while also being a broad search platform.
Myspace and Google To Team Up
dawsonrb — December 9, 2008 - 8:50pm
Interesting article about Myspace teaming up with Google to defeat Facebook, from the Globe and Mail. There is a major battle for social networking supremacy between Facebook and Myspace going on right now. Both are trying to become more universal and give users the ability to connect with their social friends while participating on other sites.
Sort of like a universal login for various sites that would offer social interatction.
Trying Out Twitter...Again
dawsonrb — December 5, 2008 - 1:20pm
I have added my Twitter RSS feed to the website. Although I have tried Twitter before I kind of gave up because I didn't quite get it. Follow me on twitter here. I'll make sure I share my twitter experiences and how it can help your business (if it can) once I figure this out (if I can ;).
Is Your Online Marketing Message 100% Connected
dawsonrb — December 3, 2008 - 11:55pm
Our Marketing Manager, Borden Rhyno was meeting with a local car dealership (no names mentioned) about the possibility of doing some online marketing and SEO work for them. So as my customary first step, I “Googled” the business name. This is usually the simplest search term that people would use to find the business.

Time For Social Networking
dawsonrb — November 15, 2008 - 5:18pm
Great article on finding time for social networking, from AdAge. I would recommend signing up for their newsletter. Although this article is dead on for social networking, you should also keep it in mind whenever your blogging. It is better to stick to one or two blogs rather than trying to do them all. There is not enough time in a day to do everything you should be "doing" as a real estate agent. Pick your battles.
