This was the top story in tiny Charlottetown, PEI today. Joel Ives, a local PEI real estate broker answers questions about print and online marketing. Print is dying and realtors are deciding they can spend their money elsewhere. Century 21 Colonial Realty has been with Top Search Result since it began.

Twittter and Real Estate - Can It Help You Sell More?

I have recently subscribed to the Tech Crunch RSS feed which covers all sorts of tech news, of course it is more general based than real estate but it is very informative. Anyways they just released a few articles regarding Twitter. One I thought was interesting was that Twitter was offered 500 million by Facebook, and turned it down. Top Search Result will now be doing SEO and online marketing for Stanhope Golf and Country Club, a PEI Golf course. We will be consulting on the development of their new website to make sure it is designed properly for SEO. After that we will continue to consult with them as well begin a link building campaign for the keyword "PEI Golf Course" and various other terms.

This is a great little video if you don't quite understand search engines. Of course if you found this website I would hope you would know about search engines but none the less, check it out. GPS Marketing
I have been skeptical of GPS machines now for a while. Seemed like a waste of money. But the other day I went for a little bit of a road trip (5-6hrs) and must say it does come in handy for driving. What does this have to do with marketing? Well...interesting thing about these machines is the POI or as it took me a few mins to comprehend P.oints O.f I.nterest. Here I was starving and had no idea where anything was.

Google Adwords and Real Estate
I have spent the majority of this week trying to figure out a good Google Adword system to implement for Century 21 Colonial Realty. Basically I'm trying to set it up so that if someone sees a house for sale by Century 21 in Charlottetown all they have to do is Google the property address. The ad will then take them to the listing page. I'm pretty sure the system will be implemented but it will take some time to test and decide how it will be advertised in print.

This is a good example of using traditional marketing in an effort to drive traffic to a website. Using TV and online marketing together in advertising campaigns increases the effectiveness of your campaign compared to using them in isolation.
