Interest Graph + Pinterest VS Facebook

This is an interesting video below. I would be paying attention to what Gary is saying here.
Looking at some statistics that I'm seeing from our own experiences here at Top Search Result. I can tell you that Pinterest is the #1 referrer of traffic for some of my clients and they didn't even know it existed. I can also tell you that Pinterest Ecommerce conversion rates are 0% on our client sites. As per non transaction goals, it less than 1% but greater than 0%. Maybe the #1 goal of Pinterest traffic should be to get visitors to become Facebook fans of the brand. The thing is that your Facebook traffic should be converting more since it is presumably fans of your product but Pinterest showcases it to a whole new bunch of potential fans.
It's hard to say since the book has yet to be written but it is good to keep a grasp of the changes going on. But I'm thinking long term customer nurturing is the only way you going to get these new visitors to become new customers.
