Mobile Marketing - Google Searching For Next Growth Area
dawsonrb — November 25, 2009 - 9:21pm
Google just acquired AdMob, a mobile advertising network for $750 Million. Obviously with this type of investment Google is expecting some big returns from the mobile ad market.

“Despite the tremendous growth in mobile usage and the substantial investment by many businesses in the space, the mobile web is still in its early stages. We believe that great mobile advertising products can encourage even more growth in the mobile ecosystem. That’s what has us excited about this deal.” (Google)
Some comparables:
- $750 million for Admob in November, 2009
- $3.1 billion for DoubleClick in March, 2008
- $1.65 billion for YouTube in 2006.
In regards to this news, we have put together another site dedicated solely to cell phone marketing. We expect there to be substantial growth in this area in the years ahead.
